Teachers - Elementary - Grade Two
I was born in Fernie and grew up in the mining community of Sparwood, B.C. The University of Lethbridge is where I received my combined Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts degrees and met my future husband, Mr. Brent Gammie. Immediately following graduation, I began my teaching career in Cranbrook, B.C. where I taught grades 5,6, and 7. After getting married in 2001, my husband and I moved up north to High Prairie, Alberta where we both taught at St. Andrew's School. Over the six years we lived there, I taught for four more years, grades 5, 6 and 2, and we started a family, having two wonderful children. We have a son, Zavier, born in 2004, and a daughter, Gianna, born in 2006. We decided to move closer to home to raise our children and landed in our wonderful Nanton community. I spent one year teaching grade 2 at Holy Spirit Academy in High River, and since then have been with Livingstone Range School Division teaching various subjects from Kindergarten all the way up to grade 10, including two years which I spent embracing a new experience as the role of "English Teacher" of grades 1 to 8 at Parkland Hutterite Colony. I enjoy running and training, competing in obstacle races, trail races, and road races, camping, hunting, scrapbooking, boating, hiking, biking and spending time with friends and family. I love the staff and students at A.B. Daley Community School and am so happy to teach here.
